Ophelia was born to a perfectly normal mother and brother in Hong Kong -- her father had skipped out on the family, and she doesn't remember him. Her brother was always very protective of her. She loved him like crazy and rarely spent time with others. After his 16th birthday, however, things got a little crazy and before he was placed on medication, and there were days where she would wake up to find him hating her. This certainly brought her self-esteem and confidence down a few pegs, but once he decided to go back to normal with her, she felt alright. When her beloved brother decided to kill their mother after being off of his meds for obviously far too long, she was quiet for a few months. She felt betrayed, lonely, and downright awful. She couldn't stop thinking about it, and it lingered and festered. Now she just wants to find him, find him and prove him wrong because, dammit, he is because he's obviously crazy, and she misses him like hell but hates him for leaving her behind. |
She was a rather carefree girl who spent almost all of the time she could with her brother. She seemed almost too dependent on him, but no one paid too much mind to that. She had a bit of an attitude when it came to things she didn't like, but she wasn't too forceful about anything because she wanted to please others. Outsiders would have called her soft-spoken and mild-mannered. After nearly being killed by the person she least expected to hurt her, her personality changed, but it's unclear whether it's for better or worse. She's not necessarily a nice person to people she doesn't like or know, and now she's pushier, more assertive. She's more high-maintenance and doesn't care about pleasing others so much as trying to get revenge, trying to get her brother back to the way he was. Her attitude is now more prominent, and most of all, she lies. A lot. To everyone. And feels no remorse afterward. She badmouths her brother but she really just misses him and wants to find him to prove him wrong (over whatever he keeps going on about, anyway, she just really isn't sure). |
Ophelia stands at average height and average weight -- there's nothing particularly out of place about her. Her hair is a light blonde -- somehow odd considering Ryan's hair is brown -- and has dark brown, almost reddish, eyes. Her body language isn't particularly assertive, but she takes care to stand up perfectly straight to at least establish that yes, she exists. Her voice is thin and faint, almost as if she's speaking softly on purpose, but she can't really shout at anyone unless she tries to. She's convinced that she has a problem with her lungs because she sometimes has trouble breathing and tends to take in air in large, irregular gasps when she's nervous or afraid. |
